About Rogers-Pierce

RPCC is a non-profit, non-sectarian school licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. We offer a warm, safe learning environment for children aged 15 months through 5 years. Classes are small and have a low teacher-to-child ratio. We hire teachers who have a genuine interest in developing relationships with children based on child development knowledge and the ability to weave the interests and ideas of children into the daily curriculum. Our goal is to nurture self-confidence and social skills while encouraging children to explore their world, ask questions, and become life-long learners. We value our families and are sensitive to the enormous challenges and joys that come with entrusting children to our care.

"We were nervous about taking our daughter to daycare last September since she'd had the same babysitter for the first 15 months of her life. She ran into the room and started playing when we visited RPCC for the first time in August. Our decision was made and we didn't need to visit any more centers. She started two weeks later and has loved it from the start. We never had any anxiety about her being there because it's such a great place. As parents, we love RPCC because our daughter gets to do lots of fun and creative activities and interact with all her friends every week. Our daughter looks forward to 'school' every week and usually runs away from us without a second glance to start her fun filled day. She has wonderful teachers. It's very clear when we pick her up how much she loves her teachers and how fond they are of her." - Mary and Angela

Location & Facilities

RPCC is located a block from the heart of Arlington Center at 75 Pleasant Street, near the intersection of Pleasant Street (Route 60) and Massachusetts Avenue. The school is convenient to several MBTA bus lines (including the 67, 77, 79 and 80) and the Minuteman Bikeway. We have unique facilities including five developmentally appropriate classrooms, a gymnasium, a kitchen, and a tree-shaded outdoor play area.

NAEYC Note

RPCC achieved NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accreditation in 2006. Due to the high administrative cost and time-intensive process, RPCC chose not to pursue re-accreditation in 2007 and 2008.
